Lab 5 – Audio Stories

Anxiety is something many people struggle with. I know, for one, that it is something that affects my life almost everyday. Somethings are less serious than other, such as being anxious about being late to work or waking up on time, whereas other things are a little more serious and begin to affect my life and everyday tasks.

When I begin to get really anxious, it starts physically affecting me, which includes side effects such as nausea, upset stomach, sweating, lightheaded or dizziness, irritability, and rapid heart beat. Some times anxiety gets the best of me and I am defeated. I have to stay home and relax in bed or cancel plans on something I was really looking forward to. But as I have gotten older and began to really understand my anxiety I have also began to control it. I am not “cured” nor am I perfect, but I wanted to share with you a few tips and tricks I have learned over the last few years on how I manage my anxiety and how you (hopefully) can too.
